Courtney Hinnekamp, M.S., LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor Welcome—I’m glad you’re here.
With nearly 12 years of experience in mental health, I am passionate about supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families as they navigate life’s challenges. I offer a safe, compassionate space where we work together to build resilience, foster self-understanding, and promote lasting emotional well-being. My background includes serving underserved communities, supporting family reunification as an in-home therapist, and launching the first school-based mental health program in a Wisconsin public school district. These experiences have shaped my commitment to family-centered, collaborative care. I specialize in working with children and families around issues such as PTSD, complex trauma (including pre-verbal trauma), grief and loss, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, attachment, and family discord. I bring creativity, mindfulness, and patience to my work with youth, and I am dedicated to building trust and safety through an attachment-based approach. I am trained in Play Therapy, Filial-Based Therapy, and am a certified EMDR therapist, offering play-based EMDR tailored to each child’s needs. I welcome clients across the lifespan and utilize a range of evidence-based modalities, including CBT, TF-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT skills, Play Therapy, Theraplay, and EMDR. My integrative approach allows me to personalize therapy to each client’s unique needs and goals. I am here to support you and your family on your journey toward healing, growth, and well-being. |
