Manny Castellanos, M.S., LPC, SAC-IT Licensed Professional Counselor
I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UW–Eau Claire in 2019, followed by my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UW–Stout in 2023. Since beginning my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including residential facilities, group homes, student affairs, and outpatient clinics, supporting individuals across a wide range of ages and presenting concerns.
Currently, I provide Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Trauma-Informed Psychotherapy, and an overall person-centered approach tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. As a therapist, I specialize in school-based mental health services at the High School in Altoona and Northstar Middle School in Eau Claire, dual AODA (alcohol and other drug abuse) and mental health counseling, and individual psychotherapy. I am also proud to offer bilingual services in both Spanish and English, making mental health care more accessible to diverse communities.
I’m passionate about helping individuals create a life worth living by challenging unhelpful core beliefs and building on their strengths. I believe that every person is doing the best they can with the tools they've been given, and that through self-reflection and intentional change, meaningful growth is possible. My goal is to support you in untangling self-criticism, collaboratively exploring behaviors that once served you, and working toward change that leads to a more mindful, fulfilling life.
When I’m not working as a therapist, you can usually find me spending time with my family, exploring museums, or playing EDH with friends.
