Amanda Ewer, M.S., LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor As a provider, I value meeting clients where they are at and supporting them to discover what they want out of therapy and life. In therapy, I think it is important for both the provider and the client to be genuine, responsible, and compassionate to best work towards the client's goals. I value helping clients to see where they have power over their life. I appreciate the opportunity to support clients in deciding what they want to do with the decisions/options they have.
I primarily work with client's ages 4 to 10 and 18 up. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families. Some areas of experience include relationships/attachment, anxiety, depression, identity/self concept, grief, and anger. In therapy, I utilize techniques from Existential, Pragmatic Psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, Attachment Theory, and other modalities. I received both my BS in Human Development and Family Studies and my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through UW-Stout. Other impactful experiences I have had include studying abroad in Fiji, being a resident advisor of LGBTQIA+ floor, being a day care teacher, and volunteering in hospice. Some additional areas of interest/hobbies for myself are ukulele, yoga, snowboarding, and wakeboarding. |
